Roufie, owner of Afrik Trends is a licensed Natural Hair Stylist based in Memphis, TN.
“That which I dare to dream, I do” is just the one of the many philosophies that Roufie, the Ivory Coast born has lived by. Her love for styling natural hair, along with the desire for entrepreneurship, helped launch this University of Memphis International Business major into opening her own salon, Afrik Trends. Roufie 's specialty in braids, weaves, locks and twists, as well as overall natural hair care has kept this thriving entrepreneur in business for the last six years.
“That which I learn to do, I share” is another one of Roufie’s mantras. Having mastered the art of braiding for over 12 years, she believes in sharing her craft with others. She has produced a learning DVD, entitled, “How to Do Kinky Twists,” and is currently working on a second one, “Comb Twists and Locks.” In addition to her DVD collection, she offers braiding classes by appointment.
